Beautiful carved ivory amulet depicting Phra Singh Na Gae 3 Kwan Ratchasee or the mythical Lion Tiger from the Himapan forest. This amulet blessed by Luang Phor Doen from Wat NongPho.
These are both mythical creatures who are said to have dwelt in the legendary Himapan Forest which is said to be located in the Himalaya Mountains. (The word "Himalaya" in ancient Sanskrit means "abode of snow".) It is also believed that the forests are located below the Buddhist heavens and are invisible to the eyes of mortals, who can never approach or enter.
